Unit 3 of the CCEA GCSE English Language qualification is a controlled assessment unit based on Studying Spoken and Written Language. In this unit, students will be asked to complete two controlled assessment tasks.

This will focus on your knowledge of characters, themes or genreA category or type of something, for example 'fiction' and 'non-fiction' are two examples of different genres of books. Fictional books can be divided into many genres - for example mystery, comedy, fantasy or horror. in a literary text or texts.
