Space Cowboy ft. Nadia Oh - 'My Egyptian Lover'
Bah! How come everyone has gone hog wild over the Eric Prydz / 'Floyd' non-remix, when there's dance tracks as brilliantly head-spinning as this making a bid for the big time? I mean, surely everyone wants to be entirely squashed flat by a bass synth so corpulent (it means 'fat') that you could suck the blubber out of it, use it to give implants to Pluto, and make it eligable for planet status again, and still have enough left over for a banging choon.
And that's just one aspect of why this is great. Another is the use of wafty flutes, playing one of those descending, spiralling Egyptian melodies, which, despite being from an entirely different part of the world to the shrieking Bollywoodery of Britney's 'Toxic', is a close enough reminder of the joys of non-Western musics to make even hardened pop cynics proclaim this the child that Justin and Britney never had (if their songs 'Sexyback' and 'Toxic' were to have somehow impregnated each other, and then one of them gave birth...do you see?).
Special extra points go to Nadia for her glassy delivery, which is so robotically dry and haughty it would make Stephen Hawking's voicebox sound like an over-excited Tom Baker by comparison. That's bound to DO THINGS to certain hormonally driven listeners, most of whom will probably be male, it's fair to say.
So, in summary, if you're out and about, looking for the perfect tune to transform any party from drab two-girl boogie in the living room to THE GREATEST NIGHT OF YOUR LIFE...don't just linger outside with your face pressed against the front door...give the bell a toot and come in!
Released: January 15th

i have hated both of eric prydz songs they have been totally over rated and i prefer david guetta vs the egg. that is a cool dance tune
