Actually, Graham, the more notable ommission at is, in fact, Mebyon Kernow - www.mebyonkernow.org - as they came ahead of both UKIP and Labour in the 2009 EU and Local Elections - perhaps that could be interpreted as a Green Party endorsement of MK that you could make more of?

You clearly abhor the 'vacuum' that is causing you the most concern - i.e. the lack of mention of the BNP candidate - as you have now seen this worthy of two posts in these early days of your, it has to be said, very amateur blogging attempt - /blogs/grahamsmith/2010/03/do_the_greens_really_mean_what.html

If you abhor vacuums so much perhaps you will seriously address the social vacuums within all the residential housing in Cornwall that is being part-time squatted and decommissioned from residential use by anti-social anti-community non-residents and sitting empty while full time residents of Cornwall rummage around for shelter and sleep in sheds, caravans, tents and any other available corner because they have been denied affordable access to the plentiful existing residential housing stock by NON-resident tourists.

Yes apparently there may be a candidate for a party even worse than the Lab-Lib-Dem-Tory-Ukip. No-one who was even vaguely interested in green principles would consider voting for them so it is hardly worth naming them - suffice to say the seem to be a bunch of racist bigots; but they are feeding on issues and feelings that the rest of us do need to take seriously. There is no need for anyone to support them if we respond appropriately to the concerns about immigration and the feelings of alienation that afflict the most disadvantaged in our society.

Apart from that lot, there is an excellent MK candidate standing in St.Austell-Newquay. As CornishDem points out we work with MK in the EFA and Europe and cooperate at a local level - but we will not explicitly endorse any candidate standing for any other party; just as they will not explicitly endorse any Green candidate.

Having excluded the stale old parties, the single issue it's-all-europe's-fault party, and any racist bigots who poke their head above the parapet, voters in these 2 constituencies need to look at who is left (there may be independent candidates not declared yet) and either vote for the best person to represent them, or write in 'none-of-the-above', or 'green'.

The most important thing is to get to the polling booth and use your ballot paper, and not to sit on your hands. If you don't vote for what you believe in you will not get it.
