Mainly because I can't bring myself to lurk all day, even though I've been completely put off by the zillions of posts, I will just mention again a request that I've made before: that the individual blog posts have their "name" in the title of the HTML document. Surely it would be relatively easy to do? But faced with a list of half a dozen or more pages all titled "成人论坛 - Radio 4 - PM" when you try to navigate backwards or amongst your tabs, you really just lose the will t

Shame, too, because I was looking forward to further analysis of the comments Drinks made earlier in the day on "Theft" - just starting to get interesting, they were - but have I got a spare half hour to make my way back to there??
My achievement for the day: took three books with stickers "3 for 2" to the checkout in a local bookshop. One of them also had a "拢4 off" sticker on it (have you got the new TP Fearless?). The woman said, "you can work this two ways - you either have 拢4 off, or you can get one of the 拢6.99 ones free." What cheek! I pointed out that wasn't really the way I was expecting it to work and just as I was about to about turn and march (haughtily, no doubt) out of the shop, she said she would given me both offers.
It is a small thing - but I have a small mind.

Is this what you mean?

Dear Lissa, PM Maitre d'Blog (I like that),
I don't mean the URL. I mean the title which is in the header of the HTML document for the page, and which is displayed as the title of the browser's window. It's the bit which goes inside the doc like this:

</html>

I think what John wants is for the name of the blog (David in this case ) to also be the of the html page. This is then shown on the top line of the browser and/or on the tabs...

It's not the URL that I think John H is talking about, but the Title HTML tag - the text that appears right at the top of Explorer to identify the page, and also appears in the "Tab" if you're using a browser that supports tabbing like Firefox or Safari.
At the moment it's always "成人论坛 - Radio 4 - PM" regardless of the URL heading.
It would be nice and useful, but not knowing how difficult it would be to have a dynamic title tag, I can't say if it's worth the effort.

No, I couldn't stay away for long. Pathetic, aren't I? (Hint for the boys - do not agree with that - it will get you into trouble).
Maybe it was just me that Eric wanted rid of, because as soon as I got cross and stormed off he stopped blogging. I would be very upset but I've gone off him now (and that was a long standing crush, I'll have you know). SO THERE! (sticks tonugue out and plants hands on hips in very childish manner). Anyway, now that Doc has declared himself an admirer of mine who needs Eric? Ha!

I'm definitely not a man. ID can be tricky, I realise. Personally, I'd like my ID photo to be of HRH - it would be confusing, I grant you, but it would get me into all kinds of interesting places, don't you agree? Otherwise, I'd settle for Miss Piggy so as to give people a laugh.

Oo-oo, David's quite handsome, isn't he? I'm looking for a replacement fixation now that Eddie has let me down. David can clearly do cute, but can he do 'mean, rough and moody but with a twinkle in the eye' too. That's the mood I'm in lately.
I was raised in the Catholic manner. We weren't taught about Limbo - Heaven, Hell and Purgatory was all we got. Limbo sounds like the most fun to be honest with you.

Not only was today my voluntary work day but afterwards I had an appointment with the hairdresser, in readiness for flying off tomorrow, and I'm SO pleased because I have missed the moment by moment irritation that was Eddie's blogging today. I wonder if the person who suspected that Eddie is trying to drive us all away so that he doesn't have to blog any more was right? If so, could we please just sort ourselves out a forum; my day now just wouldn't be the same without appy, valery, FF. Dr H and all the rest of you. Although as I'm about to go on holiday for 2 and a half weeks obviously that's something I'm going to have to live with for roughly 18 days.
I will be sending an utterly pointless postcard so if it's not up there on that nasty flickeriong things by 2 weeks today you just moan at that Lissa person until she puts it there.

However, having wrestled with a spammer masquerading as me all day, (in virtual space), slightly agree with you about ID. It gets to be a very bad day to make me even think ID cards have merit. This was a day even worse than that. I'm talking hours of wresting in virtual space. Don't ask. It's actually rather serious.

As for why there's mor October babies than other months, I'm not entirely sure. Still I think you might be on to something with the idea that in January, everyone is too skint to go out all the time, plus it's the coldest month of the year, so it's easier to stay home...
Re the ID thing (semi-serious now) I think it would be nice if we could register our nom-de-plumes that we use here, just to make sure that no-one can come along and pretend to be us. It's just a thought....
