MAHOOSIVE week for gamers this week. Wednesday saw the launch of 2009, Europe's biggest Gaming Festival in Cologne. (Its our equivalent to the Big E3 in LA). This is where all the big gaming companies unveil their latest products, and you can get sneak preview demos on the big forhcoming games. Basically the Mecca for all things in the world of games.
Its a five day convention, which takes place in a massive venue that apparently is the size of about 8 aeroplane hangers and I even heard it can take up to ½ hour to walk from one side to the other, imagine the scale of that - Epic!!
So over the last 3 days we've been speaking to our very good mate gaming journalist Steve Boxer who writes for several well known newspapers and gaming mags. (Trust me he knows his stuff, what a great job - playing games all day long)!. Hes' been over there in Germany checking it all out.
Here's a sneak preview of just some of the big forthcoming stuff...

Trebel T keeps bothering me while I'm adding to this blog, he wants to vent about the new G.I Joe game.... Take it away TTT...
So I was a little worried about this game. I told my mate I was reviewing this game and he kept saying "What a great job I have" I told him it's not that great when it's a pony game and guess what? It is.
The problem is games made from movies are often an afterthought and are never really intended to do anything bar help promote the movie to game players. Its so bad its making me think the movie might be rubbish as well.

Now for some of you cricket is seen as an extremely boring game. There seems to be an opinion that only our parents, uncles and sports nerds play or watch it. A lot has happened over the years to make it more exciting such as 20/20 cricket which is fast paced, full of runs makes you swing and party hard.
Now when Codemasters dropped the Brian Lara series only a few of my friends were interested. I on the other hand was only into Pro Evo or C.O.D. (Call Of Duty) Well I have to admit it, times have certainly changed my opinion of cricket.

There are so many movies that are made into games, Treble T is reviewing G.I.Joe "The Rise Of Cobra" and his face paints a picture. Don't know if it's a banger? But there are quite a lot that have been missed.
Anyone remembers the 'Street Fighter' movie?
What about those games that need to be films? World Of Warcraft for me would be an absolute banger. Or Gears Of War..... How about COD Modern Warfare? So lets get a debate going on the blog. What game would make a great film? You can even recommend the actors.

A couple of weeks ago Mike and I was invited to come to down to Sega's summer sizzler event, in central London, where we got to check out all the big forthcoming games coming out this autumn. So there's some heavy games to check out, hold tight for Mario and Sonic's winter Olympics. (Looks Baaaaad!).
Check the video to see how we go on.
I've just been reading an article in a games mag that near PS2 level games are soon going to become available on the iPhone. (Hold tight for Real Football 2009, we're talking near Pro Evo quality on your iPhone - Heavy!).
I used to play Bubble Blaster on my Vario all the time. Tetris was always a favourite for long jorneys too. If you have ever owned a Nokia phone then you must've played Snake at some point. Have you seen 3D snake? Crazy!!
So I wanna know what games do you play on your mobile, what's the baddest ones out there that you're addicted too? What game would you like to see available on your phone? Let us know.
