RPP is the most known Radio in Peru (a Peruvian ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳). In Peru, England is a favorite considering its amazing midfield.

Peruvian language does not exist, unless you are refering to Qeshwa, the ancient Inca's language, spread all around South America's west; plus Aymara (shared by Bolivians and north Chileans)and more than 50 something languages from the amazon jungle.

Anyways, the current official language is Spanish. Although those blokes from RPP speak with bad accents (limeño one)and poor grammar, they discriminate native south americans who speak the ancient languages, and their reports are always biased in favor of two football teams from Lima.
Sorta schizophrenic racism, I reckon.

One and a half billion people are going to watch the opening of the world cup tournament. Is there any question about football’s uniqueness? I hope the answer is no.
The time is going on and tension is growing up and people are eagerly waiting for the opening match.

What's wrong with asking whether anyone speaks peruvian? Is easier than saying, "does anyone speak the peruvian dialect of spanish".

Ask yourself, do American's speak English?

Peru has at least four good football players in Europe:
Claudio Pizarro and Paolo Guerrero with Bayern Munchen in Germany, Jefferson Farfan with PSV Eindhovend in Holland and Norberto Solano with Newcastle in England.
The main language spoken in Peru is Spanish. There are still parts of the population speaking Quechua (inka) and Aimara, besides spanish.

Well, I was reading this opinions thinking how brave is the ignorance. Is better not to say anything when you are not sure of a particular matter. I am a peruvian and I can say that We speak spanish. There is not such a thing as peruvian dialect, neither a poor handling of the grammar or a bad accent. As a matter of fact, many people say thet we speak a clearer spanish because we don't overuse the Z like in Spain do.
And, about RPP, a bet for sure that they try to make fun of the "gringo". I am sorry, thats the peruvian way.

I am a Brit living here in Peru.

I didnt hear the broadcast, but will switch on as they always play repeats and will let you know how it sounds.

By the way, here in Peru they speak a dialect of Spanish called Castellano.

I once went to Peru and spoke the Uruguayan language... That is because we speak spanish too in Uruguay. Did you know that in Brazil they speak portugese and in portugese a turkey (the animal - like a chiken) is called a peru. Weird hey?
