What's the name of your band and where do you come from?

We are YOU-V-ME , a five piece alternative band based in Derby city!

What do you sound like?

Dirty alternative rock, spliced with dance to get the heads nodding and the feet moving.

Who are your influences?

Musically, we take our influences from Radiohead, Bloc Party and Foals on the alternative/indie side of things, but on the more dancey spectrum, we've been extremely influenced by electro rock groups Justice and Does It Offend You, Yeah?

Tell us about some of your best songs...

Poison In Hand - Esentially an experimental, indie number, twisted with intertwining guitar riffs and a crunchy outtro familiar to many fans as the closing tune of the live set.

Off The Grid - A thoughtful and melodic tune, complete with an unmistakable lead guitar line and an anthemic chorus fit for the terraces.

Red Needle - Starting off downbeat and mellow, the newest fan favourite evolves into a menacing track complete with delayed guitars and dark lyrics.

Where can people watch you play live?

We play in Derby once every month at our own club night entitled Ladyflash, which is on every month at The Royal. The next show is the huge christmas party on the 18th December where we will be playing the headline slot.

Anything else you might like to tell us about...

Out of the ashes of the band's old line-up, nine months ago the new band came together, younger and more fresh faced and commited together.

You-V-Me have been making a big impression on the Derby and Nottingham scene and hope to push even further with a big recording session in the new year...
