Secret diplomacy between the UK, US and Iran has brought the trio to the brink of a new peace accord which will pull them back from war. Representatives of the three nations assemble for a live tv broadcast to announce the agreement, whereby Iran will agree to suspend their uranium enrichment programme.
Ros convinces Bakhshi to persuade his government to agree to the accord and for him to appear at the announcement, by using his incarcerated wife, Ana. But, as the live transmission goes to air, armed infiltrators hijack the broadcast, demanding that transmission not be cut.
The leader, Paul Mills, reveals that he knows Iran already have full nuclear capability; that the peace accord is a sham, cooked up by western powers desperate to avoid yet more military confrontation.
Adam and Ros, in the studio audience for the broadcast, must defuse the situation before someone is hurt, whilst back on the Grid the rest of the team investigate the hijackers' identities and possible motivation. They discover Yalta is behind the plot.
Malcolm must try to cut the transmission whilst convincing the infiltrators that they are still on air - if Paul Mills' revelations become public knowledge then the global ramifications would be disastrous.
Ben Kaplan, also in the studio but hidden, creates a diversion so that Adam and Ros can charge at the infiltrators. In the chaos that follows, Bakhshi is shot and begs the team to look after his wife, unwittingly revealing to Adam that she is still alive, and that Harry and Ros have lied to him.
A pregnant Ana is accompanied to the airport where she's forced to start a new life in Canada. Meanwhile, Ros and Adam have a furious showdown and end up kissing.
