In the family way
A few years ago I went to Poland with my Polish girl-friend and I met her parents for the first time. Wanting to get off to a good start I thought I would introduce myself and say I was hungry, all in Polish, as my girl-friend said this would go down well as Polish mothers love to feed their family and friends. So I practiced my phrase Jestem Graham, jestem głodny, I am Graham I am hungry. However nerves got the better of me and getting a little tongue-tied I actually said Jestem Graham, jestem płodny to which I got very odd looks and a giggling girlfriend who had to quickly correct what I had said, which was ' I am Graham, I am fertile'.

It is very funny how one letter can change the meaning of a word :)
"Graham" is a name of granary bread (wholewheat), which is produced mainly in Mazovian voivodship.
haha, odd looks? You should have heard a sigh of relief. That's a good one.
