In German, the cow goes muh, the dog barks wau wau and the rooster crows kikeriki. The donkey cries iah, the horse wiehert and the cat says miau. The sheep baas ²úä³ó and the goat bleats ³¾Ã¤³ó. The owl cries uhu-uhu and the birds make piep-piep. The bee buzzes summ-summ. The frog and the duck are mutually comprehensible - they both go quack.
