"In 1991 Songs of Praise paid a visit to Gracehill, near Ballymena in County Antrim to find out more about this 18th Century Moravian settlement. The programme talks to the local minister and locals to find out how the Moravians lived and worshipped together. We see how equality is important to Moravians, especially in death. This is mirrored in their graveyard, known as God's Acre where each gravestone is exactly the same shape and design. We learn what trades the community practised and how the parishioners lived together in single brethren and single sister houses. The programme highlights the diaries and records, which the generations of local ministers have kept."
