Our purpose is to encourage and assist the study of Local History as an academic discipline and as a rewarding leisure pursuit for both individuals and groups.

Founded in 1982 to further the interest of family history research, the Society now has over 700 members in the U.K., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, North America and Europe. Not all have Bradford ancestors but all have an interest in family history.
