John takes us back to the 3rd May 1958 and a day that started with bitter disappointment. As the day progressed he found himself the victim some unfair allegations

John was very close to his father Patrick. Patrick, or Paddy as he was know by his friends, died in 1981 only a few years after John got married. His obituary notice and photos of him and the rest of Johns family can be seen in the photo gallery on the right. Many of the photo's were taken around the time of the story.
