"A
while back I thought about what we could do at Donnington Middle
School because we're closing in the summer.
"Having
been a music teacher in the past, I thought it would be quite nice
to do something artistic, something the kids could enjoy and mark
the end of school life here.
"We're
in a partnership with 14 other schools and have worked closely with
each other and are planning for the future.
"I
thought it would be nice to work together and mark the end of the
school life here and the start of what will be.

Dixon, Deputy Head of Donnington Middle School |
"We've
got nine schools that are taking part and there will be lots of
children involved - we will sing a song and do a dance for three
minutes and then join the procession and let the children enjoy
the day.
"Graeme
Surtees, a local drummer and percussion teacher is working with
students from Oxford Community School to form a batteria."
