Martin Fry and Gaby Roslin
Martin was lead singer of Eighties pop phenomenon ABC
who fused dance floor finesse with a post-punk attitude to release a
string of hit singles.
听
These included Tears Are Not Enough, Poison Arrow,
The Look Of Love and When Smokey Sings. Their debut album The Lexicon
of Love, crashed straight into the album charts at No.1.
听
Martin is still actively involved in the music business.
Following his recent five month sell-out tour around the UK with Tony
Hadley (Spandau Ballet), they are heading to the US for two
months in May.
听
And he's currently putting the finishing touches to the new
ABC album.
听
Martin is partnered with TV presenter Gaby Roslin. He is
excited by the idea of coaching Gaby and then"getting out there on
stage and nailing a song".
听
One of the things he learnt during his 2005
UK tour with Tony Hadley was that he loves performing duets - he
is fascinated by the complexity of vocal harmonies.
听
TV Presenter Gaby Roslin hit the small screen in a big way
as presenter of The Big Breakfast alongside Chris Evans.
听
Their on-screen
chemistry was popular with viewers and Gaby became essential early
morning viewing around much of the country.
听
Alongside her TV career,
Gaby made her West End debut starring as Mama Morton in the hit
musical, Chicago.
听
That was followed by numerous other stage roles, including
most recently taking the lead in a national tour of When Harry
Met Sally.
听
Television work includes The Terry & Gaby show, Eurovision and Children
in Need,
as well as City
Hospital and the 成人论坛 ONE Holiday programme.
听
Recently Gaby presented Solution Street for ITV,
and returns to Channel 4 in the spring presenting
Life Begins Again.
听
To this day Chicago is Gaby's
only experience of singing in public and
she says about singing live on TV: "This
is something totally new for me.
I've never done anything like this before. These days I only
ever sing when I'm drunk!"
