This day meant quite a lot to me because I used to work in the Colchester clothing factory that made the suits which the players wore to Wembley on the big day (I cheekily paraded around in Paul Mariner's jacket). I was there when they collected & tried on their suits (grey jackets/navy trousers) - and as a result I met all the players AND got their autographs which I still have in pristine condition! It was a fun & exciting day - and the icing on the cake was that they actually won the cup! Brilliant.

Top afternoon on the cornhill for a great team, what can you say about that man Bobby other than he is a ledgend,true gentleman and a whole lot more. Thanks for the memories of 78,81 and some wonderful players over the years, you will always be loved by the people of Ipswich.

I was proud today to stand on the same spot on the Cornhill today as I did 30 years ago to see the team of 1978.It was great to see all the town fans come out and show thier love for Sir Bobby and his team.

Im to young to have been here when Ipswich won the cup but i was at the parade today, It was great!!Had a really good atmosphere to it and i loved it...Lets hope our team now can do the same thing next season.

A fantastic event for Bobby Robson and team this evening. A superb was to give the boys of 78 the 30 year send off. Bobby Robson deserved the Key to the City of Ipswich (or Town) Great to have the old team back well done to all who made this evening possible !!

Fantastic achievement by a provincial Club indeed the last 50 years have been memorable maintainug our status in the top 2 divisions. Bigger fish than us have plummeted to the bottom tier of the football league

I was 13 years old on that day and will never forget watching the match on the tv at home. I am very much looking forward to seeing all the old team back in Ipswich again on the 5th May.

I was born on the day Ipswich won the cup and Roger Osborne's sister was in the same maternity ward as my mother.I'll be there celebrating my 30th!

My mum worked at the Town Hall and on the day of the Parade when the team came in she and Mick Mills ended up on the floor as she opened the door for him he fell through. I was at Wembley on that magical day and it will always be a significant point in my life. I've moved to Portsmouth now but still a Town fan and try to get up to as many games as i can.

i am in florida i was there at wembley to see town get the f.a cup it was the best day off my life and belive me i will be on the corn hill to show my surport to the team of 1978 i am now going to book my ticket here i come town
