Eddie Izzard
Eddie Izzard began his career as a street performer in Covent Garden, riding the unicycle and performing handcuff escapes. Soon he'd mastered the art of talking incessantly and took to stand-up.
Eddie Izzard built on the cult following for his live act, generating an infectious buzz around the country. Cannily, by refusing to appear on television, Izzard's reputation had a mystique that put back-sides on seats. People wanted to see what fuss was about for themselves.
Channel 4 tempted him to write a sit-com. 1997's pilot entitled Cows didn鈥檛 quite take off.
Eddie's 1998 Dress To Kill show saw him crack the US. He won an Emmy Award for Best Variety Special Performance. Izzard continues to mix acting roles (on stage and screen) with his live performances on either side of the pond.
Recently he graced the screens of 成人论坛 FOUR as Bri in a televised version of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg.
