Harold Larwood
1904 - Born in Nuncargate, Nottinghamshire.
1917 - Begins work at the local Co-op weighing flour for the customers.
1918 - Starts bowling for Nuncargate's second team, taking 76 wickets in his first season.
1920 - Opens the bowling for Nuncargate's first team, whilst working night shifts at Langton Colliery.
1923 - Approached by Joe Hardstaff Snr., the Notts and England player, and is offered a trial at Trent Bridge.
1925 - Gets his start in County cricket against Yorkshire.
1926 - Gets picked for the England team for the first time.
1926 - Helps England win back the Ashes, taking 3 for 34, he helped skittle out Australia for 125 runs.

1927 - Harold tops the England bowling averages with 138 wickets at 14 runs a piece, winning him Wisden Cricketer of the Year.

1928/9 - Gets picked as the only fast bowler for the Tour of Australia, and helps retain the Ashes.
1928/29 - England wins the First Test at Brisbane in what becomes known as 'Larwood's Match'. Taking 6 for 32 in Australia's first innings.
1930 - England lose test series against Australia.
1931-32 - Heads the English bowling averages.
1932-3 - Gets picked for the tour of Australia.
1933 - Is given a heroes welcome by 20,000 people at Nottingham station after leaving the tour with a foot injury.
1935 - Larwood never plays for England again, after his bowling was condemned by the MMC.
1936 - Tops the bowling averages with over 100 wickets.
1936-7 - Gets Left out of the Australian tour.
1938 - Becomes a professional coach at Blackpool, then retires from cricket at the start of the war.
1946 - Returns to Blackpool to open a sweet shop.
1949 - Sells his sweet shop and emigrates to Australia with his family.
1950 - Becomes an honorary member of the MMC in Australia.

1985 - Visits Kirkby Portland Cricket Club, where he first played cricket.

1993 - Recieves an MBE from British Prime Minister John major.
1995 - Dies on 22nd July in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, at the age of 90.
