1788 - Born on 22nd January in London
1791- Byron's father, Captain John Byron dies in France
1793 - Starts school in Aberdeen
1798 - Made Lord Byron and moves to his ancestrel home at Newstead Abbey in Nottinghamshire
1801 - Starts at Harrow School
1805 - Enters Trinity College in Cambridge.
1806 - First volume of poems, Fugitive Pieces, privately printed.
1807 - Byron takes his seat in the House of Lords.
1808 - Byron receives his degree from Cambridge.
1809 - Travels through Portugal, Spain, Malta, Albania and Greece.
1811 - Death of Byron's mother.
1813 - Publication of The Giaour and The Bride of Abydos. Perhaps begins affair with his half sister, Augusta Leigh.
1815 - Marries Annabella in January. Publication of Hebrew Melodies. Daughter, Augusta Ada, born to Annabella in December.
1816 - Byron's wife leaves him in January. Byron leaves for the last time in April. Arrives in Geneva, where he befriends Percy and Mary Shelley.
1817 - Daughter, Allegra, born to Claire Clairmont. Sells Newstead Abbey
1820 - Lives in the Guiccioli palace with his daughter Allegra. Becomes involved in the Italian revolution against Austrian rule.
1822 - Allegra dies.
1823 - Don Juan cantos VI-XIV published. Byron sails for Greece, arriving at Missolonghi in December.
1824 - Dies at Missolonghi in April. He's buried in Hucknall Torkard Church, near Newstead Abbey in Nottinghamshire.
