The efficient and officious ward sister Hargreaves has put a great deal of work into earning her unknowing moniker “Hill 60”.
Though seemingly autocratic, her hostility towards amateurish VADs is perhaps understandable, given that a well-organised hospital is always foremost in her mind. Sister Hargreaves’ stern exterior, however, belies a tempestuous inner vulnerability which no amount of calico bags can quell.
