What do you sound like?

I like to think that I sound like Downi, although I do get compared to Chrissie Hynde and Sharleen Spiterri.

Who are your influences?

Everyone, Everything, girls with guitars,听 KT Tunstall, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, The Beatles, Crowded House, Jellyfish and Loads more.听

Tell us about some of your best songs...

I have just released my Debut CD 鈥淭he Gem in the Robe鈥� which has a selection of acoustic and full band tracks with songs about manic depression, domestic unbliss, loss, just life really.

I have decided to self release the album and it can be bought off Ebay by searching Downi, or from The Music Shop in Matlock. (01629 760 670) Tracks from the album can be heard on www.myspace.com/downi

Where can people watch you play live?

I perform locally at The Rendezvous Bar in Matlock, several venues in the Chesterfield area and at 鈥淭he Big Acoustic鈥� nights in Matlock. My website has a list of dates and venues. www.downi.co.uk

Anything else to tell us?

I won a national songwriting competition in 2008 which gave me the opportunity to perform with Sandi Thom (I wish I was a punk rocker) in her famous Tooting basement studio.
