MK conference
It's not every day that Bodmin hosts a party conference and the 50+ Mebyon Kernow members who made it to their AGM this afternoon seemed as cheerful as could be expected for a party which six months earlier had lost every single one of its general election deposits. As forecast, the conference agreed to contest at least 50 Cornwall Council seats in 2013, to field a full slate of candidates for the European Parliamentary elections in 2014 and to again contest every Cornish constituency at the general election in 2015. Much passion in the MK debate over Devonwall and the Keep Cornwall Whole Campaign, with words like "treachery" and " betrayal" heard more often than usual. The Devonwall issue has its second reading in the House of Lords on Monday.

In terms of what they can do for Cornwall and their own constituents is negligible. Even with combining in the grand example of the coaliton to oppose this bill in parliament they were unable to do so.

As long as they steer clear of comments like 鈥淎xis of Evil鈥 etc and any other defamatory statements of this kind.
After all MK is looking for an MP that has been elected by the people of Cornwall to represent a 鈥淐ornish party鈥 which will be a first, and it is not going to be easy, make no mistake about that, idle talk lose votes.

This is the problem with less than thorough research (or less than honest presentation). Kingsand was an exclave. It was entirely within Cornwall - though designated as a part of Devon. The border between Cornwall and England is entirely different to this special administrative circumstance.

If that was the only problem MK had Dave it could be soon rectified.
But the biggest problem for MK is the parasitic nature of some of these nats, if MK were to have any real success in politics these nats would interpret it as if they had had an input into MKs success, sadly this will never happen for MK until they throw off the nats millstone that has been around their necks for the past 50 or more years.

These people just like fighting. They seemed to have been allowed to hijack everything Cornish and like the devonwall voting thing it is them who removed support, MK could actually have cashed in on this was it for them making this a wall and inventing a pretend ancient barrier. Mike is out of control at the moment and walking a thin line, best ignored, like the rest on C24 they are looking for press headlines, us talking about them feeds this need, here we agree in the long run it is MK who are the losers.
As the Cornish public deem them all to be the same.
I know one the certain MK will never fight the Celtic league because they need there support and as such they will go around and around forever.
If MK want to be a party of Cornwall start listening to the majority not the minority and learn the Cornish are never going to fight the English or want to be cut off from England

They need to drop the CL and get ziggy to transport them into 2011 and drop those with old fashion ideas and bigoted attitudes; this will quickly remove the online fringe and might see MK start representing the people of Cornwall rather than the minority, anything else is fiddling whilst Truro burns
