This web-page is bril. I left the fair shores of the Trent in '68 and still miss the place whether its the City ground,Trent Bridge or a pint or two of Mansfields. Now Iam in the Cayman Islands more famous for its pirates than anything else but so far only found three other Forest fans. Life is tough out here, no skiing' no decent bitter and no taxes! On the positive side there is no Tony Blair and no George Bush and in addition its not black over Bill's muvvers very often. Whilst I support Clougie getting a knighthood why can we not get one for Robin at the same time?Anyone heading in this direction give us a call atkeylargo@candw.ky

Hi, after attending Farnborough - head girl there - and then Clifton Hall, I left for Paris and continued my education in 1968. Following a fun career with McGraw Hill World News, the next stop was Los Angeles. Still here, and doing well as an executive for a major health foundation. Will never forget my teachers at Farnborough and Clifton Hall who instilled in me the solid values that have allowed me to succeed personally and professionally in my adult years. Thank you!

I've just discovered this chat page. I left Nottingham in 1972 at the age of 24 to go to work in Switzerland and have been here ever since. I love living here but miss the atmosphere of England. I usually return to visit family once a year - let's face it, I'm not as far away as most of the others on this page! I don't think I could live in Nottingham again as I live in a village here. I'd also miss the skiing in winter. I'd be interested to hear from anyone else living in Switzerland who comes from Nottingham. Cheers duck.

Our family emigrated from nottingham in 1986 and now live in adelaide SA. I would like to send a message to Ian Saunderson of Darwin NT Aust. My brothers and sisters all went to Margaret Glen-Bott from about 1966-76 so it is possible he remembers us. The family name is Dyer and we still have a lot of relatives there. Would love to hear from Ian. Thanks for the expat page.

Left Nottingham in 87 for Sunny Sydney. Went to Wilford Meadows from 79-84(EX Roland Green).Played soccer for Parkhead and cricket for Knigston .I was bought up in Lenton but moved to Wollaton in 84. Went to Notts in 94 but found it dull and cold. However I still do miss it. Maybe it was all those pubs and nightclubs that I want to hold onto.

I was born in 1938 and raised in Nottingham, went to Whitemoor and Guilford Schools. We left Nottm in 1956 and emigrated to British Columbia, Canada. I've got a nice life here, the lifestyle is wonderful, lots of outdoor living and beautiful lakes and mountains. My Canadian born husband and I are making a visit 'back home'(for me anyway) in May and we are really looking forward to it. I hope to see some old friends and of course my relatives and I know it has changed a lot as I have been back several times, but it's my roots and they pull at the heartstrings! If anyone remembers me I would love to hear from them. My maiden name was Simnett and my email address is: judithann@cablelan.net.

What a good find mi duck. We moved to New Zealand in 1964 Ann and Denis Wilson(nee Flint)I went to Heanor Grammar School and then trained at Boots as a shorthand Typist. We have been back to England twice thoroughly enjoyed it in 1990 but not so happy in 1998.

Derbyshire was still as lovely as ever and our friends as warm as though we had never left. However the move was the correct one for us and we have never regretted it. I will keep looking at the board in case I recognise any writers. Happy New Year to all.

Ey Up me Ducks, Aalrayt?? I used to live at The White Post Inn at Farnsfield, which my parents ran for over 30 years - and miss the area very much. I'm now living and working in Bahrain as sales and marketing manager for a Hotel and Resort - which may sound glamorous but is bloody hard work. Spent the last five years in Spain working as a restaurant manager and can't wait for my next visit back to Notts. It probably won't be until Autumn but I will relish the cold weather. Might even get home for Goose Fair! My father still lives in Mapperley and I used to go to college at Arnold and Carlton off Mapperley Top. Bahrain is great as far as the Middle East Goes. People are very friendly, and it's always great to meet people from Notts - which I always seem to do.

My Brother moved to Nottingham from London. Around this time I moved to Australia. We all met up in the year 2000. He lives in Arnold and some of his Neighbours have family in Australia. I thought Nottingham was great I thought the people were friendly - The History is great and the caves are amazing.

aup me duck. my wife and i emigrated to PERTH WESTERN AUSTRALIA in sept,69 we have been back twice in 85, and 98 it was good to see the old place again but sadly i don,t think we could live there again the lifestyle in PERTH is so lay back and the weather is marvellous no snow ever see ya later cobbers.

I left Nottingham to live in Perth, Western Australia in 1976. I lived in Basford as a child but later moved to Rise Park. I attended Whitemoor Primary school and later, Ellis Secondary on Bar Lane. I visited home for a couple of weeks in November 2000 for my father's funeral. Apart from that unhappy aspect, it was good to see the old place again. I only recently found this site but it is one of my favourites now. While I was staying with my mother in Netherfield I watched the 成人论坛's East Midlands Today every day. The Nottingham floods were at their height during my stay and the cold was something that I had forgotten during my 33 years here. Now I am back in 40 degrees in Perth.

I have been living in north iceland for 30 years. I was born and raised at Noel St. Forest Fields. I went to Beech Avenue primary which is now a car park, Stanley Boys school which must have been one of the most forward-looking schools in the country due to its head Mr. Priest what a visionary that man was! I went to Forest Fields Grammar 1957-1969 (now an asian centre) and then went to Music College in London. I go to Nottingham now and then, one of the better cities and improving gradually. But I like Iceland better! Please email me.
